In 1993 Fyodor’s son Volodya stayed at a mental hopital near Odessa for three months after a detox. Fyodor visited him there every day for exactly 100 days. On the first day he spotted a large arrangement of dried flowers in a corner of the entrance hall. Fyodor paused every day to take photos of them, marvelling at their fragile forms and precious colors. The last picture dates from the day of Volodya’s release.
